Congo A Night of Sharing

Join us on Wednesday, April 25, for an evening of stories. You will hear from local Congolese about their refugee stories and about the current situation in the Congo. 

The event starts at 5:30pm with Congolese Buffet

Congolese menu
  • African cucumber-peanut salad
  • Djollof Rice (fried rice with tomatoes and onion)
  • Peanut Stew (with eggplant and bell pepper)
  • Madesu (red bean stew with tomatoes)
  • Oven-roasted Yams
  • Congolese Kale
  • Lituma (plantain balls)
  • Mushrooms in Lemon sauce
  • Saka Madesu (greens and beans)
  • Dessert: Fruit Salad

After the program, there will be an opportunity for questions. End your evening with dessert, coffee and conversation.
